The story of da.care
It all began as a moment of realization about life itself.
Philip and his wife Marina learned early on that honesty with oneself is what makes life easier. The feeling of putting pressure on yourself fades, and clarity begins to take its place. This understanding naturally led them into holistic health, and when their probiotic worked so well for their newborns, they felt the need to help people beyond their family. Philip mentioned:
“We chose probably the most difficult product, which, in hindsight, was very good, because it taught us everything.”
From the very beginning, the idea was not to build something for profit, but for people. The essence of da.care was rooted in giving, not taking, and in creating something that would bring people comfort, clarity, and support.
High impact
Chaos brings clarity, and so was the energy at the beginning. Of course, every starting point has its ups and downs, or as Philip described it:
“If you believe in what you're doing, you don't always need to have all the answers right at the beginning.”
Even though some questions were still awaiting their answers, the spark was very much still there. It was growing bigger and bigger every day. By the time da.care was officially founded in 2020, Philip and Marina had years of insights, experience, and data guiding their mission. Even though there wasn’t a particular value guiding them since day one, they had a driving force:
“The belief to have a product that our users, our members, our community, just enjoy using, and see the benefit of it.”
Even the name reflects this belief. “Da,” the Bulgarian word for “yes,” connects the company to Marina’s roots and to a sense of positivity and openness, and “Care” represents their purpose. Together, the name captures everything the company stands for.
Building the space to grow
In the beginning, da.care was just Philip and his wife, starting small and focused on creating meaningful impact. Over time, as Philip stated:
“We had different people who came for a ride, and then left. Today I would say that we're more focused on working with, on one side, very young, dynamic, and motivated people, and on the other, people with a lot of experience.”
What truly makes da.care different is the purpose-driven team working there. The environment supports this, creating a space where questions can be asked freely, ideas shared openly, and creativity can flourish. A recent addition to the team mentioned:
"I felt cozy from the start. People were just smiling at me, and I felt extremely welcomed."
Working with purpose and in a thoughtful environment has a direct impact on what da.care offers to its users. The effort to give reflects this same attention, compassion, and intentionality, ensuring that what reaches people carries the warmth and care cultivated within the office.
From idea to now
The path has not always been straightforward, but each step has contributed to where the company is now. Building a team that understands the mission has been one of the most meaningful achievements. Maintaining focus through the most difficult phases of building has been another. Philip describes the present moment as:
”The hard part, the phase where nothing is fully finished, and everything is being built simultaneously.”
Yet despite this intensity, everyone remains motivated, hopeful, and ready for the future. Perhaps the most important lesson learned is that building something with purpose simply feels right. When the goal is to make a meaningful impact, financial success is no longer the primary motivator. The work itself becomes fulfilling.
Looking ahead
The future of da.care is shaped by ambition and a sense of responsibility. We are preparing to launch Leda for individuals, a tool designed to bring clarity into people’s daily lives. Leda for Work represents another chapter, one that brings clarity into professional environments and helps teams grow with balance and intention.
At its heart, da.care is part of something larger. Philip often reflects on the idea that everything connects to a bigger system of people:
“We are on a path of learning from one another.”
In the end, the story of da.care is a story of two people who followed a spark, of a team that found purpose in that spark, and of a future built on clarity, compassion, and meaningful change. It is the story of saying yes to growth, yes to care, and yes to a more peaceful way of living.
